The TOTE system of betting was first introduced in Mauritius by Automatic Systems Ltd. in 1991. Further development brought additional convenience to punters, namely through phone betting via TELETOTE implemented in 1994, and off-course agencies opened as from 2004.
Today, TOTE has grown into the most secure and transparent mode of betting with 120 terminals at Champ de Mars, 142 terminals at TELETOTE and terminals located off-course, in our 24 agencies over the island. Last year’s turnover amounts to Rs1,189,795,616.
In 2007, TOTE revamped its name to SUPERTOTE, in line with its endeavour to differentiate itself from the competition and bring about a ‘super’ dimension to betting in Mauritius.
A.S.L has been the pioneer for popular exotic bets such as Pick 6, Pick 4, Quartet, Trifecta and Place Accumulator. Constant innovations include new forms of betting like fractional betting, new bets and soon, the possibility to place bets on international sports events beyond horse racing.
Its popularity and credibility have added to create bigger pools which are equally exciting and attractive to punters.
